Description:
Chitosan is the only alkaline polysaccharide among natural polysaccharides and has many unique properties such as biodegradability, cellular affinity and biological effects. These unique properties of chitosan are well suited for use as a sacrificial bioink. In the same way as alginate-GelMA, chitosan is also added mainly to enhance the biocompatibility of alginate. Alginate-collagen can be used to print scaffolds with porosity and connectivity, which can be used for studies of mechanisms such as cell migration and signaling
